Ehsaas Scholarship Program:

Prime Minister Imran Khan, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, has announced the commencement of a groundbreaking Ehsaas Scholarship Program, offering 50,000 need-based scholarships to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Recognizing the low literacy rate in Pakistan, particularly among those unable to afford higher education, this initiative aims to alleviate financial barriers faced by students.

Ehsaas Scholarship Program: The Ehsaas scholarship program aims to transform education in Pakistan by enhancing the country’s literacy rate. This initiative seeks to provide higher education opportunities to middle-class and economically disadvantaged students, benefiting nearly 200,000 individuals.

Undergraduate Level Ehsaas Scholarship Program: Approximately 50,000 undergraduate students will receive scholarships under this program to cover their educational expenses. Eligible students must belong to families with a household income of less than 45,000 rupees. Additionally, each student will receive an additional 4,000 rupees per month to address various educational expenses.

Financial Benefits of HEC Ehsaas Scholarship: The HEC Ehsaas Scholarship Program will offer financial assistance to students across all provinces of Pakistan, including Punjab, KP, Balochistan, Sindh, and Kashmir. Beyond increasing the enrollment of students in higher education, the program aims to inspire students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue education and contribute to the nation’s prosperity.

 

Eligibility Criteria: The following students will be eligible for the Ehsaas Scholarship:

Fresh admission students of 2021 in any HEC-recognized government institute.
Student’s family income must meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship.
The student has been admitted based on merit as announced by the institute.
Students must be enrolled in a degree recognized by HEC.
The age of the student should align with the undergraduate student category.

Ineligibility Criteria: Students meeting any of the following criteria will not be eligible for the Ehsaas Scholarship:

Students availing any other scholarship will not be eligible for the Ehsaas scholarship.

Students enrolled in both private and government institutes are ineligible.

The student will not be eligible if admitted to a degree program with a high fee structure.

Post-degree program students, such as those enrolled in master’s degrees, are ineligible.

Students holding associate degrees are not eligible for the scholarship.

Ehsaas Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

Ehsaas Scholarship for Women: Female students in government institutes are eligible for fifty percent of the Ehsaas undergraduate scholarship. This initiative aims to support and encourage female education in the country.
